How culture shock benefits you

Commonly experienced by travelers, expats and exchange students, “culture shock” describes the impact of moving from a familiar culture to an unfamiliar one. It’s the surprise of a new environment, with new people and a new way of life.  It also includes the initial separation anxieties that occur when you’re taken out of close contact with the important people in your life. That could be partners, friends, family, colleagues or teachers – all the people who you would seek advice from in terms of uncertainty.

In the infographic below we take a deeper look at what culture shock is and how it can actually benefit you.
