Therapy in Barcelona is a group practice founded specifically for the international community. We get it – living abroad brings unique challenges that most therapists don’t understand. That’s why our entire team are living this foreign life themselves, working in English with clients both online worldwide and in-person at our Eixample office.
Since 2011, we’ve specialized in the messy realities of expat life: cultural adjustment, isolation, relationship strain, work-life imbalance, and the peculiar grief that comes with choosing to live far from home. We also work with the full range of mental health concerns – anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues – but always with an understanding that these don’t exist in a vacuum when you’re navigating life in a foreign country.
Languages: English (primary), plus French, German, Swiss German, Austrian German, Afrikaans, Portuguese, Catalan and Spanish
Who we work with: International adults, couples, families, and teenagers.
Approaches: We carefully match you with a therapist based on your specific needs, not just whoever’s available next. Our team uses evidence-based methods including CBT, ACT, EMDR, IFS, Existential therapy, and others – tailored to what actually works for you.
